Decide to Be Happy Now
Good Life
I’m realizing that Good Life feels like getting over the hump.
Not because everything is fixed.
Not because every part of my life is perfect.
But because something in me is shifting.
For so long, life felt like something I had to keep postponing until things got better, calmer, safer, or more certain.
But this part of my journey feels different.
It feels like a quiet crossing.
A bridge from waiting, sacrificing, and self-abandonment....the energy I recognized in "China" ....toward taking a chance on actually living, which is where "Break My Heart " begins to lead me.
A bridge between surviving and allowing joy.
Between old patterns and the woman I’m becoming.
For me, Good Life feels deeply connected to The Art of Becoming because becoming isn’t only about what I understand. It’s also about the choices I make from that understanding and how willing I am to live differently in the present moment.
Sometimes understanding the shift isn’t the final step.
Sometimes we also have to find the courage to cross into it.
And maybe that’s what this season is teaching me...
The good life isn’t only something waiting for me somewhere ahead.
It’s something I have to be willing to step into now.
Not a dramatic ending.
Not a perfect life.
Just a quiet crossing.
It isn’t about waiting for the good life to happen.
It’s about participating in creating it now, and, like the song says, “when everything is up, you have to take it in.”
In what ways have you postponed your own happiness?
With love,
Ms. B
